We are pleased to announce the start of a new sea­son — Sea­son 5 — of our twice-month­ly series where we report on things to do and places to vis­it around the Sec­ond Life grid. We are cel­e­brat­ing the open­ing of the new sea­son by going back to the begin­ning — where we start­ed with Sea­son 01, Episode 01 — the Sec­ond Life Endow­ment for the Arts known as the “SLEA.” This pro­gramme will air on Sat­ur­days and Wednes­days until May 21st, at 12 noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific Time.

And don’t miss “Engines of Our Inge­nu­ity” — pre­sent­ed by the Uni­ver­si­ty of Hous­ton: the series about the machines that make our civ­i­liza­tion run and the peo­ple whose inge­nu­ity cre­at­ed them. The pro­gramme is broad­cast every 4 hours from 4am Pacif­ic on Wednes­days and Saturdays.

We’ve nev­er actu­al­ly tak­en a look at the larg­er Endow­ment activ­i­ties since 2021 when the SLEA launched. A lot has hap­pened, changed, and evolved since then, and this new sea­son is a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to revis­it it and high­light, not just what res­i­dents can find when explor­ing its sev­er­al regions, but how res­i­dents can get involved with cre­ativ­i­ty through the SLEA.

The show will give you some point­ers and sug­ges­tions of what to look out for, start­ing from the Pavil­ion in the cen­tre of SLEA Region 1. Now it’s May when we are broad­cast­ing this episode, and most of the cur­rent projects will only be open a lit­tle while longer, before they are rolled over to the next group of projects in July. And there are a lot of inter­est­ing projects to explore.

And you need not lim­it your­self to being a con­sumer of cre­ativ­i­ty: you can be a cre­ator as well. The SLEA accepts pro­pos­als for project grants through­out the year.
