“Where Have You Been?” Begins a New Season
“Where Have You Been?” is an original Virtual Community Radio series, hosted by Caledonia Skytower and Elrik Merlin. In each episode, released every two weeks, we look at places to visit and things to see and do around the Second Life grid.
This week, from Wednesday, January 12th, we’re starting the second season of “Where Have You Been?”, marking a full year of broadcasts. In Season 2, Episode 1, we look at Forever Tourist: a Second Life Exploration Game, which encourages and rewards your explorations on the grid. You start off by acquiring a Passport, and having done so, you travel the grid to participating locations where you can get a stamp in your passport, and sometimes free gifts. All kinds of places are featured and the list of participating locations is up to around 400.
Where Have You Been? visits Let It Snow! — A Winter Wonderland
In Episode 22 of “Where Have You Been?” — the final episode of 2021 — we visit “Let It Snow!” — a beautiful winter region created by artist Milly Sharple. Beautifully detailed and laid out, there are a great many attractions here. It’s described as “A snowy, winter setting for dancing and romancing. Come and explore, dance, ice-skate, take photographs, or just hang out.”

A Tale of Two Galleries
Premiering on Wednesday, November 10th, at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific/SLT, 8pm and midnight in the UK, Episode 20 of our Second Life travel show “Where Have You Been?“features two very different art galleries in Second Life, yet pursuing similar goals of access to both artists and residents: The Love&Love Factory Art Gallery and The Elven Falls Art Collective.
Where’ve You Been? 15 visits Art Korner SL
Wednesday September 1st — and Episode 15 of our popular twice-monthly original series about things to do and places to visit around the Second Life grid, “Where’ve You Been?”, this time visits Art Korner SL.
Art Korner SL focuses on art and photography showcased in-world across all different genres and forms. They seek to cover art galleries, art projects, photogenic regions and many other activities through content which is original, informative and entertaining.
Where’ve You Been 11: Arcadian Rapture Remastered
Wednesday, July 7th sees the premiere of a brand new episode in our series “Where’ve You Been?”, where we look at things to do and places to see in and around the Second Life Grid.
In Episode 11, Where Have You Been? highlights a recently-remodelled destination that mixes shopping with entertainment in a colourful, creatively built environment that includes art, movies, an elegant atrium, and no less than three club/entertainment venues stacked one on top of the other.
Virtual Community Radio at SL18B
VCRadio is going to a party — the biggest party on the Second Life grid. We’ll be at the Second Life 18th Birthday celebration — SL18B — opening June 17 and running through July 1st.
We’ve set up headquarters on SLB Astonish, and our plans include a special edition of the monthly new age music show The Grove, special live presentations of our signature features Tarot @ Teatime and Where Have You Been? plus a fun trivia treasure hunt right at VCRadio SLB Headquarters!
“Where’ve You Been?” Visits ‘once upon a time’
At 12 noon and 4pm Pacific Time on Wednesday and Saturday, tune in for Episode 7 of “Where’ve You Been?” — our twice-monthly series on things to do and places to see on the Second Life Grid, with Caledonia Skytower and Elrik Merlin. In this episode we visit once upon a time by Justice Vought — a place that mixes “The Land of the Giants” with “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” in an experience that encourages exploration and requires an active sense of humor.
“Where’ve You Been?” Visits the Birdlight Cinema
At 12 noon and 4pm Pacific Time on Wednesday and Saturday, tune in for Episode 6 of “Where’ve You Been?” — our twice-monthly series on things to do and places to see on the Second Life Grid, with Caledonia Skytower and Elrik Merlin. In this episode we discover a unique miniature movie theatre where you can watch a full programme of short films, many award-winning.
Flora Sperling lives in Germany, and brings her love of cinema and imagination to her two cinemas in Second Life: Birdlight and Birdolumoj. The venues present twin programs from the best of short animation features, changing every fortnight.
“Where’ve You Been?” Visits Zamonia
At 12 noon and 4pm Pacific Time on Wednesday and Saturday, tune in for Episode 5 of “Where’ve You Been?” — our twice-monthly series on things to do and places to see on the Second Life Grid, with Caledonia Skytower and Elrik Merlin. In this episode we visit Zamonia, including the Valley of the Pondering Eggs, the Hidden Lake, some catacombs absolutely stuffed with books! — and much more.
