The lat­est edi­tion of VCRa­dio’s orig­i­nal series on things to do and places to vis­it across the Sec­ond Life Grid, vis­its The Janus Gal­leries. The show pre­mieres on Jan­u­ary 26th and airs at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific/SLT, that’s 8pm and mid­night in the UK. It’ll run on Wednes­days and Sun­days at the same times for the next two weeks.

Last year, Where Have You Been?  vis­it­ed Sin­ful Retreat & Angel’s Rest, owned and curat­ed by Chuck Clip and Jew­ell — part­ners in both the vir­tu­al, and the phys­i­cal world. This vis­it we focus specif­i­cal­ly on the Janus Gal­leries — there are three of them all locat­ed on Sin­ful Retreat. They are home to rotat­ing exhi­bi­tions by dif­fer­ent fea­tured artists. The Janus Gal­leries were named after the Roman god of new begin­nings, tran­si­tions, door­ways, and time. They seek to ush­er in a new era of art in Sec­ond life while keep­ing an eye on the roots it came from.

There seems to always be a lot going on over at Sin­ful Retreat, and a lot of won­der­ful art­work to enjoy and absorb. The Janus Gal­leries are only a frac­tion of what can be found there — but com­plete­ly worth a ded­i­cat­ed vis­it on their own.
