Where Have You Been? visits The Temple of the Divine Feminine
In this episode of our original series, “Where Have You Been?” we visit The Temple of the Divine Feminine, on SLEA Region 2. It’s the creation of 20 women artists and creators coordinated by KismaKSR Resident, and occupies a full region — a very full region — with messages celebrating feminine power, creativity, and voices, including some important focal issues.
The installation is divided into four major themed areas arranged like a medicine wheel. Each area has an entry gallery, a space for invocation, and the temple itself. Each of these four areas aligns with the four elements — air, fire, water, and earth — and are laid out along the major axes of the compass.
The Temple of The Divine Feminine is located on SLEA (Second Life Endowment for the Arts) Region 2, which is rated Moderate, and will be open till December 31st. This episode of “Where Have You Been?” will be broadcast on November 30, plus December 3, 7 and 10. The show airs at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific/SLT, that’s 8pm and midnight in the UK, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
And don’t miss Engines of Our Ingenuity from the University of Houston that tells the story of how our culture is formed by human creativity. Written and hosted by John Lienhard and other contributors, it is produced by Houston Public Media. Catch it just after the hour every four hours from 4am Pacific.
