Where Have You Been? S04E11: Revisiting: Dia De Los Muertos at Instituto Espanol
We’re pleased to present the latest episode in our original series, “Where Have You Been?”, where we discuss things to do and places to visit across the Second Life Grid.
Episodes are broadcast on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12 noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific Time.
In this episode we revisit Dia de los Muertos at Instituto Espanol.
Instituto Espanol’s Dia de los Muertos is vastly expanded since we last visited a few years ago. “Mexican Legends” is the theme this year, and there are automated guides to the stories and locations offering a cultural journey through legends that have shaped Mexican folklore, and there’s plenty to explore and experience.
This year’s Dia de los Muertos in Second Life is dedicated to the memory of Joan Bronson, who was pivotal in the creation of the Spanish Institute in Second Life. Do plan on visiting Dia de los Muertos 2024 as soon as you can.
Dia de los Muertos — the Day of the Dead — is typically celebrated on November 1st and 2nd each year.
This series airs at 12 noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific, on Wednesdays and Saturdays — times subject to change.
