First Sunday: Halloween Classics

Posted on by

SUNDAY 10/4, 2pm pdt/slt at The Bradbury Project: MUSIC!

This programme is now available on Mixcloud.

Sit, dance, hang-out and enjoy as VCRadio brings our monthly First Sunday music set to The Bradbury Project.

The Bradbury Project’s Green Town is patterned after a mid-century America small town in Illinois. Join Caledonia Skytower as she plays Halloween classics of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.

At VCRadio, we believe Sunday afternoons are the perfect time to treat yourself to something special, and we invite you to join us on the First Sunday (usually) afternoon of each month as we present a different musical treat: around an hour of music on a theme. It could be anything — new age music, orchestral classics, soundtracks, or music celebrating a particular culture.

Green Town Park is just a short stroll from the landing point — step out the garage door and turn left.

Since 2021, Virtual Community Radio (VCRadio) has been sharing its eclectic mix of music and original programs created for listeners in virtual worlds and on the wider internet. We are grateful to all the individuals and communities that have supported us as sponsors and listeners. Thank you for sharing the music, spoken word, and other special programming.

Six years has seen a lot of changes in all our lives. VCRadio and the people behind it are no different. Beginning October 1st (2026) we will no longer be streaming the station. We plan to focus our time and resources on our original program creation. While the station stream will go silent, you will still be able to enjoy First Sundays, The Magic of The Musical, and other programs we produce live in Second Life, and then on our Mixcloud channel via listen-on-demand.

We’ll be releasing a fresh new website shortly, where you can learn about events and programs. Our Second Life group and subscriber will continue as will our social media presence. We hope you will join us as we enter this new, exciting phase of our work, and we look forward to sharing more audio adventures with you in the months and years to come.

Thank you for listening!
