First Sundays (monthly)

At Virtual Community Radio, we believe Sunday afternoons are the perfect time to treat yourself to something special. That’s why we invite you to join us each month as we present a different musical treat: around an hour of music on a theme that could be anything — new age music, orchestral classics, soundtracks, or music celebrating a particular culture or observance. The show airs on the first Sunday in the month at 2pm Pacific/SLT and runs approximately 60 minutes.

Note: due to schedules and events, both real and virtual, this monthly program occasionally happens on the not-exactly-first Sunday. Check the homepage for the most current program information.

The Magic of The Musical (monthly, April to December)

This show covers all aspects of musical theatre and is hosted by Caledonia Skytower. Each show addresses a different aspect of the art — a show, a composer, or some other feature of the musical. Some episodes feature special guests from the theatre industry with extensive knowledge of different aspects of the field. The show airs on the third Saturday in the month at 2pm Pacific/SLT and runs approximately 60–90 minutes.

Each episode of the shows in our current program line up will be presented live in Second Life first, then be available to listen-on-demand on Virtual Community Radio’s Mixcloud channel within a few days.
