Whether des­ti­na­tions specif­i­cal­ly reflect any of the Decem­ber hol­i­days, or just the breath­tak­ing glo­ries of the snowy sea­son, there’s no doubt there are many, many beau­ti­ful regions to be dis­cov­ered and explored at this time of year — it made it real­ly dif­fi­cult to pick one to feature.

So, as we often sug­gest, when look­ing for places to explore across the Sec­ond Life grid, first lis­ten to us….  (laughs) Then, check out the Sec­ond Life Des­ti­na­tion Guide.

Fly­GearZ pro­duces, among oth­er things, curat­ed dance events. They are more than your aver­age dance par­ty —  what Jen­na Dirval puts togeth­er is some­thing more. She applies her First World knowl­edge of dance and her love of explor­ing musi­cal gen­res to con­struct shows that are mem­o­rable events. Fly­GearZ have been wild­ly pop­u­lar at Calas Gal­ad­hon, among oth­er places.

And that is just the tip of the ice­berg, as it were, of what they have to offer. The best way to start to under­stand this is to explore their two pub­lic regions — Tyme and Fly­te — to dis­cov­er just how deep the cre­ative rivers flow. What’s more, their cur­rent “A Win­ter Waltz” theme to the region Fly­te will chal­lenge every­thing you think you knew about steampunk.

You can enjoy “A Win­ter Waltz” by tele­port­ing to the Fly­te land­ing point, where clear­ly post­ed instruc­tions will advise you to take the shut­tle tour — which you def­i­nite­ly should! Not only will it show you the win­ter won­der­ful­ness, but it will take you up, up, up into the rar­efied islands in the air above ground lev­el.  The tele­port sys­tem on the Estate is excel­lent, so once the shut­tle drops you at the Fly­GearZ the­ater, many meters above the ground, you can eas­i­ly return to ter­rain-a-fir­ma. You can also go to the main Info Hub on the sis­ter region Tyme. We’ve put the slurls to both Fly­te and Tyme below.
