New Shows on Mixcloud: Tarot @ Teatime 13 and Where’ve You Been 14

It’s time to add two new pro­grammes to our Mix­cloud “Lis­ten Again” facil­i­ty. Lis­ten to them now at https://www.mixcloud.com/virtualcommunityradio/

In  Episode 14 of “Where’ve You Been”, we vis­it the Haunt­ed Man­sion trib­ute on Lythria. Owned by Nance Clowes, it is a trib­ute to the theme park attrac­tion first devel­oped by Walt Dis­ney Imag­i­neers for Dis­ney­land, and sub­se­quent­ly for oth­er Dis­ney destinations.

And in “Tarot @ TeatimeEpisode 13, Hon­ey and Wil­low dis­cuss dif­fer­ent approach­es to study­ing the Major Arcana, and how to iden­ti­fy your Per­son­al­i­ty and Soul cards. (Please ignore the mis­lead­ing URL of the link! — it’s episode 13, not 12.)

Where’ve You BeenEpisode 13 fea­tures The SLEA Bridge Project, a two region con­nec­tive stretch between the SLEA home region (with its per­form­ing arts cen­tre, Machin­i­ma­land, and edu­ca­tion spaces, etc) and the quar­ter region small project area.

Where’ve You Been” Episode 11 fea­tures the amaz­ing Arca­di­an Rap­ture Remas­tered - an incred­i­ble cyber-deco shop­ping mall in Sec­ond Life.

Tarot @ Teatime” Episode 9 dis­cuss­es how agency, func­tion, and con­text influ­ence the inter­pre­ta­tion of cards in a read­ing.  A spread of three cards is read to address two dif­fer­ent issues to demon­strate the impor­tance of context.

Tarot @ Teatime” Episode 10 looks at The Major Arcana and var­i­ous way of think­ing about these twen­ty-two cards as a group. We dis­cuss the notion of The Fool’s Jour­ney, Jun­gian Arche­types, and the Major Arcana as a depic­tion of the inter­play between order and chaos.

Where’ve You Been” Episode 10 fea­tures the Limon­cel­lo Air­ship Art Gallery, while “Tarot @ Teatime” Episode 8 intro­duces the role of nar­ra­tive in read­ing: the Tarot read­er as storyteller.

In addi­tion, there is a unique Spe­cial Edi­tion of Tarot @ Teatime titled “Demys­ti­fy­ing The Tarot” in which Hon­ey Heart and Wil­low Moon­fire intro­duce the sub­ject of Tarot and present a brief his­to­ry of the cards, and how they may be read with prac­ti­cal exam­ples. It’s a fas­ci­nat­ing intro­duc­tion to the top­ic and will be found espe­cial­ly use­ful if you want a quick refresh­er course on the back­ground to the Tarot. This spe­cial episode was record­ed live at the Sec­ond Life 18th Birth­day on 23 June 2021.

Virtual Community Radio Is On The Air — Saturday Feb 6

The tests are com­plete, the stream is on the air, and it’s time to offi­cial­ly launch the station!

We’d like to extend a warm invi­ta­tion to Sec­ond Life res­i­dents to join Vir­tu­al Com­mu­ni­ty Radio at our Grand Open­ing Ball in our fab­u­lous art deco the­atre on the Chest­nut Hills region, on Sat­ur­day Feb­ru­ary 6th at 2pm Pacif­ic Time (22:00 GMT), as we offi­cial­ly launch the sta­tion. Come in for­mal dress and enjoy a pro­gramme of 90 min­utes of waltzes, fox­trots and some rather more live­ly dances in a broad­ly Light Clas­si­cal vein, pre­sent­ed in liv­ing stereo­phon­ic sound by DJ Cale­do­nia Skytower.
