We’re pleased to present the lat­est episode in our orig­i­nal series, “Where Have You Been?”, where we dis­cuss things to do and places to vis­it across the Sec­ond Life Grid. Episodes are broad­cast on Wednes­days and Sat­ur­days at 12 noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific Time. In this episode we take a look at the Silent Book Club.

The Silent Book Club is a glob­al com­mu­ni­ty of read­ers with more than 1000 chap­ters in 50 coun­tries around the world.

Mem­bers gath­er in bars, cafes, book­stores, cof­fee shops, libraries and online to read togeth­er in qui­et cama­raderie — which makes it per­fect for a for­mat like Sec­ond Life.

In Sec­ond Life, Friend­ly Faire­lander of the Bay City Library has orga­nized Silent Book Club activ­i­ties on the grid.

There are four Silent Book Club events cur­rent­ly offered month­ly, in four dif­fer­ent Sec­ond Life loca­tions includ­ing the Bay City Library.

This pro­gramme airs at 12 noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific, on August 28 and 31, and Sept 4 and 7.
