“Where Have You Been?” visits The Janus Galleries
The latest edition of VCRadio’s original series on things to do and places to visit across the Second Life Grid, visits The Janus Galleries. The show premieres on January 26th and airs at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific/SLT, that’s 8pm and midnight in the UK. It’ll run on Wednesdays and Sundays at the same times for the next two weeks.
Last year, Where Have You Been? visited Sinful Retreat & Angel’s Rest, owned and curated by Chuck Clip and Jewell — partners in both the virtual, and the physical world. This visit we focus specifically on the Janus Galleries — there are three of them all located on Sinful Retreat. They are home to rotating exhibitions by different featured artists. The Janus Galleries were named after the Roman god of new beginnings, transitions, doorways, and time. They seek to usher in a new era of art in Second life while keeping an eye on the roots it came from.
There seems to always be a lot going on over at Sinful Retreat, and a lot of wonderful artwork to enjoy and absorb. The Janus Galleries are only a fraction of what can be found there — but completely worth a dedicated visit on their own.
NOTE: Janus Gallery II will be opening a new exhibition by Monroe Snook on Saturday, January 30th. Check here for details.
