Tarot @ Teatime — Episode 5
Sunday May 2nd sees a second chance to hear the fifth episode in our twice-monthly series on the Tarot, Tarot @ Teatime, with Willow Moonfire and Honey Heart. The show airs on Thursdays and Sundays at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific Time (8pm or midnight in the UK), and a new episode premieres every two weeks.
Episode 5 covers Part One of the significance of numbers in the Minor Arcana. We present qualities and keywords associated with the numbers one through five.
The primary resource mentioned is the Rider Waite Smith Tarot deck. It is available from the publisher, US Games Systems, Inc. and numerous bookstores and online book sellers.
Music for Beltane
Today we present a programme of a wide variety of music for Beltane.
Beltane or Beltain is the Gaelic May Day festival. Most commonly it is held on 1 May, or about halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. Historically, it was widely observed throughout Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. In Irish the name for the festival day is Lá Bealtaine, in Scottish Gaelic Là Bealltainn and in Manx Gaelic Laa Boaltinn/Boaldyn. It is one of the four Gaelic seasonal festivals — along with Samhain, Imbolc and Lughnasadh — and is similar to the Welsh Calan Mai.
And tune in at noon or 4pm Pacific Time / 8pm or midnight in the UK — for the latest edition of our Second Life travel show, Where’ve You Been? — where we visit ‘once upon a time’. Details here. In addition, we are broadcasting Engines of Our Ingenuity from the University of Houston, every four hours from 4am Pacific.
