About our shows
Tarot @ Teatime provides an introduction to the Tarot, its history and how to read the cards. It’s presented by Dr Honey Heart and airs on Sundays and Thursdays at 12 noon and 4pm Pacific Time/SLT. Shows are repeated for two weeks at a time. Each programme addresses a different card from the popular Waite-Smith Tarot deck, and includes a demonstration reading. Programmes are around 15 minutes long.
Where Have You Been? discusses places to visit and things to do around the Second Life grid. The show is presented by Caledonia Skytower and Elrik Merlin. Programmes feature Arts, Explorations and Events and run for around 15 minutes. The show airs on Wednesdays and Saturdays at noon and 4pm SLT/Pacific for two weeks at a time.
The Magic of The Musical This monthly show covers all aspects of musical theatre and is hosted by Caledonia Skytower. Each show addresses a different aspect of the art — a show, a composer, or some other feature of the musical. Many editions feature special guests from the theatre industry with extensive knowledge of different aspects of the field. The show airs on the third Saturday in the month at 2pm Pacific/SLT and runs about 60–90 minutes.
Many of our original programmes can be heard again on demand by visiting our page on Mixcloud.
In addition to our original programming, we feature other series produced by third parties.
ZBS Foundation Radio Drama Every Friday at noon and 4pm Pacific/SLT we present another episode from the classic radio dramas produced by our friends at ZBS Foundation. ZBS is a not-for-profit arts organization that’s been in existence since 1970, producing radio/audio stories. These are comic and cosmic adventures, science fiction, mystical mysteries — some with spiritual wisdoms woven within. Their intention has always been to raise consciousness by using the media, radio and audio. Generally 10 to 30-minute episodes.
The Engines of Our Ingenuity airs on Wednesdays and Saturdays every four hours from 4am Pacific. Written and hosted by John Lienhard and Houston Public Media, Houston, The Engines of Our Ingenuity tells the story of how our culture is formed by human creativity. Each 5‑minute programme uses the record of history to reveal the way art, technology, and ideas have shaped us. Episode topics range from cable cars to Civil War submarines, from the connection between Romantic poets and Victorian science to the invention of the bar code.
When we’re not broadcasting a special programme, tune in for a variety of music, from Early Music to Classical, Light Music and more. On Wednesdays and Saturdays we feature a particular genre of music, and this can be quite wide-ranging.
